The Quins took home the first place hardware this past weekend at Ft. Lauderdale ruggerfest with a 3-0 record, winning on the first day of the tournament! Well done, ladies!

Skills Camp Success
Many thanks to all the lady ruggers that came out to the skills camp - we had a great turnout! 78 new, experienced, and potential ruggers came out to represent their 15 clubs: UGA, Georgia Southern, Lee, Emory, GA Tech, Georgia State, UTC & UTK, Nashville, New Orleans Halfmoons, Univ. of Florida, Univ. of Southern Alabama, Knoxville Minx, North Georgia College, and Savannah were all represented!

The Harlequins will be hosting another skills camp geared toward both collegiate women's clubs and other ladies in the south who may be new to the sport who want to get some technical skills instruction. All are welcome to attend!

Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser
Quins at Elite 8
The Harlequins had a hard-fought season and made it to Nationals Semi-Finals/Elite 8 in Austin, TX! In the first match, the Quins dominated and defeated the Austin Valkyries, coming away with a 55-5 win.
In the second match, however, the Quins fought a full, hard 80 minutes against the Glendale Raptors, but were unable to come away with the win. Final score was 29-5 to Glendale.
The Harlequins finished the Fall 2011 season with a 7-1 record, being completely undefeated during CR3 matrix play.
Well done to each and every Harlequin and a huge, huge thank you and three cheers to our coaching staff, all of our supporters, family, sponsors, friends, and all those who helped to make this season a success!

It saddens us to report that U.S. Army Veteran and Harlequin Alum, Dawn White, passed away in Stuttgart, Germany, the week of July 3, 2011.
There will be a memorial service on Sunday, August 28, at the Atlanta History Center, beginning at 1pm with cheers to Dawn following at Brick Store Pub in downtown Decatur, GA. [Facebook Invite for This Event]
Remembrance: Dawn Lee White, formerly of Tampa, Florida and Decatur, Georgia, died unexpectedly in Stuttgart, Germany the week of July 3, 2011. Dawn, 48, was a highly-decorated and airborne-qualified U.S. Army veteran of the Cold War, Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom, and the Global War on Terrorism.
