WELCOME TO THE HOME OF THE ATLANTA HARLEQUINs
About the Quins
The Atlanta Harlequins Women’s Rugby Football Club (AHWRFC) evolved in 1999 from the Southeast Harlequins, a select side formed in 1984 to combine top talent from the region, across Georgia and Florida. Key contributors to the team's early and enduring history include USA Rugby Hall of Famer Patty Jervey and Danita Knox.
The Atlanta Harlequins are the longest running women’s team in Georgia. The Harlequins grew women’s+ rugby in Atlanta and across the state. In fact, each of the women’s teams in the area have roots from the Harlequins and most new teams were started by our alumni!
During our 40 years of history we’ve had the honor to be a part of WPL (Women’s Premiere League), 7s Nationals, Division I and Division II Fifteens, and we currently have alumni playing professional rugby in the WER (Women’s Elite Rugby).
Since late 2024 we exclusively compete in USA Rugby Atlantic Women DI League. The Atlanta Harlequins are proud to be the only D1 Women’s Rugby team in the entire Southeast.
