G
GROWTH MINDSET
We promote, encourage, and facilitate growth as a team, as athletes, and as individuals. We focus on growth in rugby skillset, in building relationships with one another, in leadership, and in mental & physical preparation.
We maintain a coachable mindset at all times.
R
RESPECT
We respect all ruggers including ourselves, teammates, coaches, referees, and opposition.
We use preferred pronouns, respect our teammates identities, and use gender-neutral language at all team events.
We respect each other by ensuring we are physically and mentally prepared for every training and match, by speaking respectfully with one another, and recognizing that we all make sacrifices in order to participate in the sport we love.
We respect our coaches and captains by communicating (availability, injury, and anything asked for) early and often.
We respect club leadership by actively participating in club activities, and staying up to date on information put out through TeamApp.
I
INCLUSIVITY
We always welcome new players, regardless of prior rugby experience.
We uphold a positive growth-focused attitude at training, and work to make all new players feel welcome.
We do not single out players or “blame” others for any reason. We work together to improve as a unified group.
T
TEAM FIRST
We will work in the team and club’s best interest at all times, including communicating practice intentions, letting the team know when life comes up, and being physically and mentally prepared for every training and match.
One Voice. We do not speak over each other, or during a coach's time, no matter who the coach may be.
We don’t say sorry, we accept our mistakes as mistakes, and work to constantly improve.
